We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dedicated finance team.

Job Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining precise financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices and check requests
• Sort, code, and match invoices
• Set invoices up for payment in Bill.com
• Enter and upload invoices into the system
• Track expenses and process expense reports in Quickbooks
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with month-end closing
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues and answer inquiries

Qualifications:

• Proven working experience in accounts payable or a similar role
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel & QuickBooks Online
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus
