Hybrid Schedule 2 days onsite in Manassas, VA
Experis IT is partnered with the worlds leading provider of secure financial messaging services in their search for an Agile Coach to join their team in Manassas, VA.
As an Agile Coach, you serve as the servant leader for your team(s) by ensuring clear communication and helping the team reach its goal. This role will drive the adoption of Scrum and various other agile methodologies to focus on value, flow, quality, predictability, modern engineering practices, and driving continuous improvement of their teams as well as work with other Agile coaches and Scrum Masters within your area.
You will also facilitate team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team.
What to expect in this role:
Use Agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver customer value and solutions.
Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and remove impediments for the scrum team.
Collaborate with and support the team in meeting product development and delivery needs.
Teach, mentor and support delivery teams to adopt agile values, principles, and practices.
Accountable that scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes are well facilitated.
Ensure that tasks, issues, risks, and action item are effectively managed by the team.
Accountable for team performance by promoting transparency, inspect & adapt and helping teams to continuously improve.
Plan and organize demos and product / system testing, qualification, and deployments.
Track and make visible project processes, progress, and deliverables.
Work with tribe leadership on tribe-wide improvements and initiatives.
Facilitate multi-squad planning events (e.g. big room planning).
What will make you successful:
Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver customer solutions.
Ability to coach teams towards improving software development and deployment via CI/CD pipelines.
Leadership and management experience.
Excellent people communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong desire for transparency, visibility and use of data, evidence, and metrics.
Certifications/Experience:
CSM, prefer CSP-SM or PSM I, prefer PSM II
Working experience and/or certification on Kanban is a plus
Working or familiarity with Spotify model is a plus
Working experience in SAFe is a plus
Prior Agile Coaching, Project and Program management roles is a plus
Tool Proficiency:
Working experience in Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, MS Outlook and other MS products
Working experience on collaboration tools such as Mural, Mentimeter and Slido
Helpful:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred
Certified Scrum Master or relevant Agile-related certifications
4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
Technical background
Delivery experience
Working in regulated environments
