Job Description Xavier University's Division of Student Affairs is seeking applications for the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Health and Wellness to provide comprehensive support for student success, health, and wellbeing by overseeing the work of Counseling Services, Psychological Services, Wellbeing Services and manages the University's TriHealth partners in Health Services and Wellness Services. Reporting to the Vice President (VP) for Student Affairs, this role serves as the campus leader for all strategic Health and Wellness initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Duties include, but are not limited to:

Vision and Strategic Planning Provide strategic planning for the integration of comprehensive wellness initiatives and coordinated prevention and response approaches that promote the behavioral health, wellness, and success of Xavier Students. Utilize student learning outcomes assessment to inform best practices in wellness service delivery for the University community. Establish collaborative initiatives with leaders across the University to organize existing student wellness, prevention, and response initiatives within an environmental management model. Utilize evidence-based principles of change management to enact appropriate mechanisms for service integration and operational efficiencies.

Leadership Serve as strategic partner for the VP for Student Affairs and other senior leaders to promote a campus culture that supports student success and well-being. Represent the Division of Student Affairs on behalf of the VP for Student Affairs as needed. Serve on the Student Affairs Leadership Team, the University's liaison to the TriHealth staff who operate Xavier's Student Health Services on campus as well as Xavier's Student Wellness Services oversee the operations of the departments of Counseling Services, Psychological Services, Wellbeing Services, and Health Services. Ensure the maintenance of records and statistics and coordinating proactive divisional initiatives intended to further a climate of health and wellbeing on campus.
Serve as a strategic partner in the coordination of resource and support delivery to students in crisis; providing education and training to university constituents regarding student health and wellbeing; maintain data and statistics regarding student wellbeing needs; develop policies and systems to promote student health and wellbeing in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Develop University wide partnerships and collaborations to promote initiatives that enhance the eight dimensions of wellness, engagement, and success. Develop and implement a plan for the integration of wellness services throughout the Division of Student Affairs. Align and strengthen University resources to promote individual student wellness and contribute to a safer, more welcoming community.

Business Management Provide leadership in long-term budget and revenue forecasting and manage oversight of all budgets allocated to student wellness functional units. Provide oversight of the Student Health Insurance Plan. Evaluate and implement systems that achieve fiscal responsibility and quality clinical care and serve as a liaison to TriHealth in their system development/implementation. Maintain a secure system of confidential records in accordance with applicable standards of practice and state and federal laws and assist TriHealth in their record retention processes. Ensure compliance with University policies and state and federal laws related to student wellbeing as well as adherence to professional and ethical guidelines. Conduct evidence-based assessment of student learning outcomes and student health metrics.

Academic Collaboration Facilitate academic partnerships that further the University's capacity to enhance the health and wellbeing of students by identifying additional services available to the Xavier student body. Develop and foster relationships to achieve the strategic goal of setting the national bar for innovative, holistic collegiate health.

Education and Programming Provide oversight and guidance in the development of wellness-based educational programs related to emotional resiliency, ethical decision-making, alcohol and other drugs, healthy eating/nutrition, physical activity/fitness, sexual health, stress management, tobacco cessation, etc. Offer strategic direction around peer education models and advocacy groups focused on student wellness related programming. Serve on the Xavier/TriHealth Wellbeing Steering Committee to ensure consistent development and implementation of key partnership wellness outcomes. Support, envision, and implement quality services and programming for the increasingly diverse Xavier student body.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree required; Doctoral degree preferred, in health-related field such as Counseling, Social Work, Public Health or Health Administration or in Higher Education/Student Affairs Administration.
