Viceroy Chicago, located at the site of the 1920's-era Cedar Hotel, among historic mansions and just steps to the Magnificent Mile and Lake Michigan, Viceroy Chicago offers a locally-inspired luxury experience with 180 guestrooms, including 18 suites.Explore modern, Midwest flavors at the hotel's restaurant or head up to the rooftop bar, pool and lounge, perched 18 stories high for a sweeping panorama of Great Lake views and Chicago's iconic, soaring skyline.
General Responsibilities Include: - Train and counsel colleagues on daily tasks, policies, and procedures
- Seek continual improvement for the department and hotel
- Inspect rooms and ensuring the meet the highest standards of cleanliness
- Help with daily operations and coordination of the department
- Perform supply inventory
- Open and close Room Attendant assignments
- Conduct line-up meetings
- Perform general cleaning tasks and Room Attendant duties as needed using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
- Perform weekly stay over inspections
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
- Verify rooms are vacant and initiate maintenance requests
- Welcome, greet, and escort guests
- Display a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests, patrons and other employees
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the hotel
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the Hotel, including guest rooms, public areas and offices
- Respond to requests in an expedient, professional manner
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction; handle problem escalation as necessary
- Maintaining the Housekeeping budget.
Skills/Knowledge Required: - Has a strong working knowledge of and passion for hospitality, with Housekeeping management or supervisory experience
- Has immaculate attention to detail and seeks continual improvement for hotel cleanliness standards
- Excellent managerial/leadership skills
- Displays a strong hands-on approach; thrives in guest and colleague interactions
- Thinks critically and objectively; has excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands
- Is technologically savvy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
Qualification Standards: Education:High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Experience:2 years of Housekeeping management experience.Luxury hotel preferred.

Grooming:All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
