Job Description
We are hiring a dry-cleaning and laundry presser to join our team at Frontier Cleaners in Peoria. The presser will be responsible for steam pressing shirts, pants, blouses, and dresses, ensuring all garments are properly pressed and finished according to Frontier Cleaners’ high-quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Know the basics of pressing and adapt to the challenges of properly finishing new and seasonal fashion styles and fabrics.
Accurately but efficiently iron and press clean articles by hand or machine steam and vacuum.
Learn the basic operations of the pressing station(s) they will operate and the particulars of the items commonly pressed at that station.
Inspect each garment for stains, wrinkles, and other defects, and notify the proper presser/manager when issues are found.
Ensure that pressing equipment is working properly and well maintained.
Ability to follow set procedures and work with little supervision.
General housekeeping will support a benchmark store appearance.
Ability to lift between 25 - 50 lbs., bend and reach overhead to place garments on rails, grasp, handle, and manipulate objects of various sizes.
Must be able to move from various work situations to distribute garments.
Ability to work in a hot/humid environment.
Participate in ongoing education and training.
Must be able to stand for long periods.
Other duties as assigned.
Shift Schedule:
This is a full-time position, ranging from 32 - 40 hours per week. Shift starts as early as 6 a.m. and ends when the job is done (typically between 1pm-4pm). Monday – Friday (no weekends). Scheduled hours will be determined based on our workload.
