Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Programs sinking EDMs and robotic cell.
• Set-ups jobs within the robotic cell and sinking EDMs.
• Monitors machines while burning.
• Schedules work load and monitor due dates.
• Performs all necessary inspection to assure quality products.
• Documents program changes.
• Completes and files paper work.
• Performs job completion activities (unloads electrodes, delivers parts, etc.).
• Performs routine maintenance on machines.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
• Performs duties in accordance to Quality System documentation, including the Quality Manual, Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Takes necessary steps to verify work output meets company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENT

Training & Experience Mold-maker, Machine Tool Technology or related technical degree or related experience.

Skills & Knowledge Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret prints.
• Good communication skills.
• Attentive to details.
• Ability to handle the demands and pressures of job scheduling (often with short lead times).
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
• Sinking EDM machines.
• General office equipment, including computers and calculators.
• Inspection equipment.
• System 3R robot workmaster (desirable).

Physical Demands The employee is required to:

• Sit, stand stationary, move about, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, handle and touch.
• Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
• Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
• Exert over 100 pounds of force infrequently.

Working Environment

The employee is subject to:

• Normal manufacturing environment.
• Working with and around mechanical and electrical equipment.

Visual Acuity As required, with or without accommodation, for reading written documents, measuring instruments and computer screens and to perform work. Hearing Ability As required, with or without accommodation, for hearing and responding to machining processes.
