Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Epic MyChart Analyst to join our healthcare IT team in Boston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, support, and optimization of the Epic MyChart application. This role requires a deep understanding of the Epic MyChart system, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

System Implementation and Maintenance:

  • Oversee the installation and configuration of the Epic MyChart application.
  • Ensure the system is operating efficiently and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance to ensure the application is up-to-date and secure.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide technical support to end-users, including resolving issues and answering questions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for new users to ensure they can effectively utilize MyChart.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system procedures and training materials.

Optimization and Upgrades:

  • Collaborate with clinical and technical staff to identify areas for system improvement.
  • Implement changes and upgrades to the MyChart application to enhance its functionality.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze user data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports to assist with decision-making and improve patient engagement.
  • Monitor system usage and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in Epic MyChart is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Epic MyChart or similar patient portal systems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical processes.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare, Epic Ambulatory).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to patient portals and healthcare IT.
  • Project management experience.
