The HR Assessment Product Team is the firm's centralized global Assessment function, positioned within the HR Talent and Employee Experience organization. The Assessments team is comprised of I/O psychologists and operations experts that bring best practices in talent assessment to the firm. We focus on cutting-edge technology and take a data-driven approach to ensure assessment products are valid, fair, engaging, and aligned with targeted OKRs.
As an Assessment Senior Associate in the Assessment Product Team, you will be involved in the design, development, validation, implementation, and on-going monitoring of talent assessment and selection tools. By keeping current on the latest research, trends, and technology, you will lead the development of protocols and best practices to guide firmwide assessment strategy. You will evaluate tools against all relevant local, regional, and national laws and regulations in partnership with our legal team. You will partner with the rest of the Assessment team, vendors, recruitment, legal, change, learning, engineering, and other cross-functional HR teams to support positive end-user experiences.
Job responsibilities - Lead or support the design, development, validation, implementation, and on-going evaluation of assessment and selection products/tools (developed in-house or vendor-provided) to ensure alignment with OKRs
- Engage with legal and compliance teams to evaluate selection tools against all relevant local, regional, and national laws
- Act as a subject matter expert to guide others in the development and use of fair, compliant and effective employee selection tools
- Partner with legal, workforce analytics, and tech teams on regular analytic projects (e.g., validation, adverse impact, etc.) resulting in summaries to executive leadership
- Partner with UX on research, evaluation and design of new products and processes to ensure positive end-user experiences
- Partner with tech/engineering teams on technology integrations, developments, and UAT to support product/tool development and implementation
- Partner with other product teams, change management, and learning/training teams on product implementations, trainings, and end-user-readiness
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills - MA or PhD degree in industrial organizational psychology or related field and 3+ years of applied experience with selection assessment projects involving job analysis, criterion validation, adverse impact analyses, and ongoing statistical evaluation
- Knowledge and experience with advanced statistical analyses to build, evaluate and monitor assessment algorithms
- Knowledge of how new technology, including AI/ML, is impacting assessment and selection
- Experience working with large, heavily-regulated corporate entities, as well as legal, risk, and compliance teams
- Knowledge of assessment-related laws/regulations, EEOC, UGESP, and OFCCP guidelines
- Understanding of risk assessment and management approaches
- Strong organizational and communication skills, and a high degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work independently as well within a team
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills - Knowledge of or experience with product management approaches
- Experience with developing program strategy
- Experience with AI/ML tools
- Experience with Jira and agile methodology
