Schedule: 10 hour shifts
Job Details This position requires an in-depth knowledge of industrial pipe fitting in a heavy industrial setting. Our jobs require the pipe fitter to understand how to install and test process piping ranging from 1/2" pipe to 36" pipe on a Water Treatment Facility. Pipe material can range from PVC, DIP, Steel, SST and or FRP. We do not support relocation costs or peridium.
Skills and Qualifications:
As a Mechanical Pipefitter you will contribute to our team by:
Doing Layout, setting elevations and grade.
Doing the layout and install of above-ground mechanical piping and supports. Experience in the installation of carbon steel piping and Victaulic couplings, fittings. Experience with Copper piping a plus
Reading / Interpreting: contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, architectural, structural and mechanical drawings.
What you will bring to the role:
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the pipe-fitter /mechanical trade
Pay rate is determined by current level of knowledge and experience
Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
Able to create a safe working environment, and understand OSHA regulations
Ability to take off and communicate tool and material requirements to the supervisor
Must have experience in carbon steel, copper (soldering, brazing) and PVC installations
Must have experience setting mechanical equipment including Clarifier equipment, pumps,
Ability to set up and perform piping tests
Must have reliable transportation to job site
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others
Ability to identify potential issues during installation and elevate them to Foreman/Gen Foreman
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to pass a drug test
