This consumer-packaged goods (CPG) company has been in business for over 100 years producing a recognized line of products that many of us use every day. They are looking for a Plant Manager with exceptional leadership and project management skills who has the ability to drive project specific issues and goals to closure. The right candidate will have the ability to enhance a team environment including development of team-oriented manager and supervisor.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, team development, technical expertise and management of the Manufacturing and Administrative operations. They will direct the activities of the manufacturing process and of the manufacturing facility. This position will lead activities of the business functions concerned with the operations of the Companies manufacturing plant, including Production Operations, Materials, Quality, Facilities, Maintenance, Process Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety and Administration.
- Lead and coordinate production to ensure that all processing lines are operating withing specific ranges, producing desired quality results and achieving maximum production efficiency.
- Promote an organizational culture of continuous improvement.
- Process and Quality Control along with Driving Performance while managing workforce.
- Plan, develop and implement long-term strategic planning of manufacturing goals, personnel development and business objectives.
- Supports operations and maintenance personal in the troubleshooting of existing equipment and resolution of process problems.
- Effectively use policy deployment to ensure alignment of department goals and activities with organizational goals.
- Manage Manufacturing Schedules to meet Customer requirements, optimize inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures and duty assignments. Consider budgetary limitations, time constraints and customer impact.
- Responsible for annual budget preparation in relation to manpower, equipment needs, equipment improvements, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational programs included but not limited to Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental; OSHA; EPA; State and Local.
- Maintain effective communications with all operations, quality, materials and maintenance departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical discipline is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in leading packaged-goods manufacturing production/operations.
- Able to demonstrate the use of process improvement techniques in manufacturing and the production process.
- Experience with managing budgets and understanding P&L goals.
