Quality & Regulatory Specialist CPG Industry Come Ready Foods and its Ready Brand , one of the fastest growing sports nutrition companies in America growing over 200% in the past 2 years, with co-owners football future hall of famer, Aaron Donald and basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, is looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking
Quality & Regulatory Specialist with a good eye for detail. You will be responsible for reviewing all aspects of quality and assurance for our co-manufacturers and co-packers, along with coordinating any third party product certifications required. This role will support compliance, quality and technical programs, particularly those relating to regulatory compliant and food label information. In addition, you will assist in testing our company products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality.
To ensure success as a
Quality & Regulatory Specialist , you should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a top-class quality technician can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products.
Responsibilities: Interpret and make effective use of technical, legal and food regulatory documents, information and data
Managing the companys certifications for its products (i.e. NSF Certifications, Kosher, Gluten-Free, Organic)
Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law.
Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor.
Collating test data and drafting quality reports.
Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting verification of processes and procedures including alerting out of compliance results.
Assist in administering the Company's Quality Program in accordance with customer and company requirements to ensure all work is conducted within established Quality guidelines.
- Sensory evaluation, visual inspection, and analyses of finished product samples
- Review and develop QA procedures
- Assist in troubleshooting product discrepancies
- Manufacturing & Ingredient supplier audits
- Create & Maintain production verification documents including, archival storage & organization, master document storage, and analysis of quality data.
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
A working knowledge of the following:
- General food safety knowledge and experience
- Foreign Material prevention and detection
- Knowledge of food safety & quality systems
- Working knowledge of food regulatory requirements
- Third party certification and auditing processes
- High School Diploma or GED required and 5 years experience in quality control and assurance in an FDA regulated industry or Bachelors Degree in a science related field preferred.
- A background in manufacturing and processing environments is desired.
- Proven analytical strengths and experience.
- Experience in writing reports with strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management and prioritization to achieve results
- Ability to accommodate flexibility in the work schedule (30% Travel)
