Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 per year

Job Details Roles & Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations related to the marijuana industry, including tax codes and financial reporting requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and management of company budgets, providing insights into financial trends and projections.
- Tax Preparation: Collaborate with external tax consultants for annual tax returns, ensuring all dispensary operations are tax-compliant.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds for daily operations and future expansions.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Vendor and Inventory Management: Collaborate with procurement to manage vendor relationships and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
- Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Liaise with External Auditors: Work alongside external auditors during annual audit processes, ensuring timely provision of necessary documentation and information.
- Recommend Process Improvements: Continually assess accounting procedures and recommend improvements to streamline processes and enhance financial controls.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and data to aid decision-making.
- Stay Updated: Regularly update knowledge on marijuana industry regulations and financial best practices relevant to dispensary operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficient in accounting software and tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the marijuana industry regulations is highly desirable.
- Bonus: Previous experience in a dispensary or related industry.
