To continue to maintain that level of success we are adding a Senior Robotics Automation Engineer to the team to be based in Houston and will focus on Midwest to East Coast projects. 

We have a small team where the right person will become an integral part of the execution and strategy of the department (5 person team with Customer Service, and Biz Dev Rep and a counterpart Senior Engineer on the West Coast) However, this role is not isolated as it will consistently interface throughout our matrixed organization and be part of the team's attached to the offices around the country. What's more, this role will help develop and drive next generation of our Autopilot product.

Responsible for Ellison Automation and Robotics technical activities including robotic solution development, pre-sales discovery calls, bill-of-material (BoM) creation, technical support escalations, robot programming, automation cell design, installations. Is a member of BlueChip/Ellison Automation and handles responsibilities as assigned by management.

Essential Duties:

• Technical lead for design and deployment of Ellison Automation Solutions
• Conceptualize and Design automation cells (level 2) and solutions (level 1)
• Go to resource for automation and robot support escalations. This will include helping on requests from FSEs and TRC
• Act as a technical liaison to Doosan Robotics (or other manufacturers) and act as an extension of their engineering team
• Member of implementation and installation teams as needed
• Help train support organization on robots and help transition technical support responsibilities. Keep Support Organization up to date on new releases/features from Doosan Robotics as well as Ellison Solutions

We expect the right candidate to have a minimum of 5 years of robotic integration experience and a 4-year engineering, mechatronics, or electrical degree, or similar. However, extensive industry experience will be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree. Experience working for a systems integrator focused on robotics a must. Working knowledge of major industrial robotics, with experience on Doosan Robotics advantageous. Must be able to conceptualize and design robotic based automation solutions for myriad client processes and work flows. Of course, a working knowledge of computer and robotic programming is a must have. Ability to work in CAD and read/interpret electrical diagrams is necessary as well.
