About the Role:

Were on the hunt for a MidLevel Tax Associate to join our clients prestigious tax practice in New York . This role involves advising clients on merger and acquisition transactions debt financing portfolio investments and state tax planning . The ideal candidate must have recent experience at an AM Law 100 firm and a minimum of 4 years of transactional tax experience with a focus on corporate transactional and partnership taxation .

AM Law 100 Requirement:

Your Mission:

• Advise clients on merger and acquisition transactions debt financing and portfolio investments.
• Design and implement taxefficient structures for joint ventures and corporate transactions.
• Provide state tax planning advice to clients across various industries.
• Collaborate with the tax team to ensure clients business and financial goals are met.
• Serve as special tax counsel to other law firms accounting firms and investment banks.

Core Competencies:

• Transactional Tax Expertise : Strong background in corporate transactional and partnership taxation with experience in M&A debt financing and portfolio investments.
• Tax Planning & Structuring : Ability to design and implement taxefficient structures for joint ventures and corporate transactions.
• Client Collaboration & Communication : Proven experience in engaging with clients understanding their goals and providing tailored tax solutions.
• Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with energy real estate and international taxation is preferred.

What You Bring:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABAaccredited law school with an LLM in Tax preferred.
• Admitted or eligible for admission in New York .
• 4 years of transactional tax experience in a law firm environment.
• Recent experience at an AM Law 100 firm is required (check the for qualification).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate in team settings and work effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Ability to prioritize meet deadlines and handle competing responsibilities with attention to detail .
