An urgent care in the Newport News, Virginia area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with pediatricians to provide high-quality care to infants, children, and teenagers presenting with common pediatric illnesses, minor injuries, and lacerations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with pediatricians to assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Provide appropriate treatment and medications, including suturing and wound care.
• Educate patients and families on preventive care and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.

Qualifications:

• Current Virginia license as a Physician Assistant.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Interest in working in pediatrics.
